Eurex trading platform One of the world’s leading derivatives exchanges |
|
The derivatives exchange Eurex® is one of the world's market leaders in the trading and settlement of futures and options on shares, share indices, exchange-traded funds as well as capital and money market products. It is a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse and the Swiss Exchange and emerged in 1998 from the merger of Deutsche Terminbörse (DTB) and the Swiss derivatives exchange Soffex. Derivatives trading is carried out on Eurex through a fully integrated, electronic trading and clearing platform. The decentralised and standardised market access allows customers worldwide access to the system. With this cross-border market, Eurex has succeeded in setting itself apart from traditional floor trading. In 2009, Eurex had 405 participants in 24 countries. During the same year a daily average of 6.6 million contracts were traded on Eurex. |
