| The DAX® family selection indices are preferred investment vehicles for long and short investors wishing to hedge their positions via various derivative constructs. However, the future dividend payments of each index portfolio are subject to a risk, particularly for short positions, which cannot be estimated as yet. The innovative Dividend Points indices allow for assessment of the individual components of the DAX® and DivDAX® index. The dividend distributions are separated and also made tradable via futures and other derivatives. By concentrating on the fundamental data which determines the value of a share, short positions can be hedged and potential effects on the dividends can be calculated. |
