Three questions for Christian Fütz

Please give a short overall statement on working at Deutsche Börse Group.

My internship at Deutsche Börse has been positive so far. The working atmosphere at the exchange is good. I was quite surprised by the informal way of doing things in my department, which has an impact on the atmosphere and how people work together. The work is demanding but you get help with questions and problems straightaway and it is fun to be working and learning something at the same time.

What is the main focus of your work at Deutsche Börse Group?

I support the marketing team in the Market Development – Cash division of Deutsche Börse. My job is very diverse – I am doing a competitive analyses for the Trading & Clearing Portal on deutsche-boerse.com and am supporting the redesign of this portal. But my responsibilities also include marketing analyses, presentations, event support and designing give-aways.

What advice would you give students interested in an internship at Deutsche Börse Group?

You should have a general interest in the financial market – it makes your work easier. Being well prepared for the work is helpful, for example you should take a good look at the homepage. Don’t be scared off by the big name of the company – no one bites here!
