Three questions for Jean-Louis Kocher

Please give a brief outline of your education and career to date.

I left school, the Seminaire de Jeunes de Walbourg, in France in 1999. Between 2001 and 2006 I studied at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Montpellier and graduated with a Masters in Finance. During my degree course I also did several internships, the two main ones being in the Treasury section of Deutsche Börse, and trading derivative products at Dresdner Kleinwort. Since March 2007 I have been working in the front office of Market Supervision.

How did you become aware of Deutsche Börse Group as an employer?

As a student I was looking for a seven month internship. Deutsche Börse offered me an internship in Corporate Finance. I had so much fun during my time there that I applied to Deutsche Börse after I graduated.

Please tell us something about yourself. What do you do outside work (hobbies, involvement in the community etc.)?

Sport and friends are very important to me as they help me maintain a balance between work and private life. Sport is also a very good way of reducing stress levels. Squash is the best way for me to clear my head after a tough day.
