The German Corporate Governance Code was first presented in February 2002 by a government commission appointed by the German Ministry of Justice. Our Company has been a member of this commission from the outset and has actively campaigned for improved codes of conduct and comprehensive disclosure requirements. Both the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board issue an annual declaration of conformity with the German Corporate Governance Code. This declaration is published in the Annual Report as well as on our website. In 2009 Deutsche Börse AG again complies with the vast majority of the recommendations and suggestions of the German Corporate Governance Code in the current version as of
6 June 2008 that was published by the German Ministry of Justice in the official section of the electronic Federal Gazette.
