Deutsche Börse in close cooperation with Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is offering potential Indian issuers a listing platform in order to address Indian and European Investors for implementing cross border financing objectives. Equipped with profound knowledge of both markets, Deutsche Börse and Deutsche Börse Listing Partners together with further experts from both regions will accompany Indian issuers on the complete listing processes starting with the first ideas, advising them in the listing procedure and offering a broad range of post listing services.

Aims and Objectives of the Collaboration

The sustainable cooperation between BSE and Deutsche Börse is aimed at the internationalization of listing businesses of both partners which is a win-win approach for all the participants including exchanges, issuers and investors.

This cooperation combines the expertise and brand recognition of each partnerexchange with the opportunities of gaining global reach and attention. Therefore we offer worldwide visibility and investors’ awareness by joint marketing initiatives and a common online portal to promote listings and data disseminations. Above that there is an option on cross listings opportunities.

Indian issuers can meet the European investor base on various occasions like the German Equity Forum or international road shows with globally operating investors hosted by Deutsche Börse.

Background

In 2008 Deutsche Börse and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) signed a cooperation agreement at the German Equity Forum. In the future, BSE will provide Indian companies seeking listings in Europe with information and advice and help them prepare for an IPO at Deutsche Börse. The partners will work together to advance the internationalization of the German and Indian financial market and facilitate the simplification of the access to markets for both, international investors and companies.

“The cooperation agreement governing joint listing activities between Deutsche Börse and the Bombay Stock Exchange is a further step in our long-term commitment to work together with the BSE. Like this, Deutsche Börse is continuing to expand its activities in India in order to reinforce its existing business relationships and seize new opportunities”, says Rainer Riess, Managing Director Cash Market Development at Deutsche Börse.

Back in 2007, Deutsche Börse and the BSE entered into a strategic partnership aimed at a closer collaboration on a number of joint business activities in their respective markets. Deutsche Börse holds a five percent stake in the BSE.
