Xpect Cohort Indices

Xpect Cohort Indices represent so called cohorts. Cohorts are age groups which are consolidated by years of birth and gender. Based on this population data, the Xpect Cohort Indices represent the estimated remaining population of closed portfolios each starting at a defined point in time. All Xpect Cohort Indices begin with a theoretical base value of 100,000 at their inception. This also represents the number of people from the respective cohorts. The monthly index values represent the estimated remaining population out of the original 100,000 at each calculation point.

Each Xpect Cohort Index covers 20 cohorts, separated into male and female.
