Platforms and Configurations |
| Xetra supports the following platforms for the participant installations (as of April 2008): - MS Windows 2003 Server (Service Pack 1 or higher) on MISS and Workstation
- Sun Solaris 10.0 (Hardware Revision 03/05 or higher) on MISS and Workstation
- MS Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2 or higher) on Workstation

These platforms can be combined as servers or clients as shown in the diagram: In general, a homogeneous operating system platform is used for MISS and workstations. However, different combinations of operating system platforms for MISS and workstations are possible for the Xetra front-end configuration. A Sun Solaris MISS accepts both Sun Solaris workstations and Microsoft Windows 2003 Server and XP Professional as clients (trader workstations). However a Microsoft Windows 2003 Server MISS only accepts another Microsoft Windows platform as a client. Xetra front end und Xetra back end will communicate via TCP/IP network (Xetra network) provided by Deutsche Börse. |
