| For the connection to the trading systems of Deutsche Börse Group, ExServes offers its customers three options: Premium Access, Combined Access, and iAccess. This ensures a high level of flexibility in the selection of the connection in terms of costs and fail-safe operation. Premium Access – Two parallel, dedicated lines (point-to-point connections) This option offers a high degree of reliability by using two parallel, dedicated lines (point-to-point connections). If one line fails, the connection is established via the second line through an automatic changeover mechanism. Usually, this separate routing is implemented by using different telecommunications providers with separate infrastructures. Premium Access can be enhanced with multi-market functions. Multi-membership installations can likewise be connected through Premium Access. Combined Access (Premium 2) – One dedicated line and an Internet connection Combined Access provides access via a dedicated line with an Internet connection as a back-up. The connection via the Internet is implemented by a Virtual Private Network (VPN). The dedicated line is normally used for the entire data traffic; the Internet connection is only used as a back-up in the event of failure. This access provides a cost-effective alternative to Premium Access since it needs only one dedicated line and is replaced by an Internet connection to secure fail-safe operation. The Internet access on the customer’s side is provided by the participant. With Combined Access multi-market functions are available. iAccess – One Internet connection via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) iAccess provides cost-effective access to the trading systems of Deutsche Börse Group. This is secured exclusively through an Internet connection by means of a Virtual Private Network (VPN). iAccess is particularly suited for smaller trading houses with a low trading volume and low requirements in terms of fail-safe operation. The Internet access on the customer’s side is provided by the participant. iAccess does not have any multi-market or multi-membership features. Security of the Internet connection Advanced security technologies for Internet connections are standard for ExServes. Internet connections are basically made through Virtual Private Network (VPN). Authentication is based on 1024-Bit RSA keys which are issued by the Private Certificate Authority of Deutsche Börse Group; the actual data encryption uses 160-Bit SHA-HMAC 3DES. |
