About Tradegate

Tradegate Exchange is a stock exchange specially tailored to the requirements of private investors. Tradegate Exchange provides private investors with real-time prices and offers trading in around 4,900 shares and ETFs, 1,500 bonds and 1,500 funds from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on stock exchange trading days. There are special order types available, such as 'Trailing Stop' or 'One-Cancels-Other'. Market specialists constantly quote continuously binding bid and ask prices and orders are basically executed completely and immediately.

Tradegate AG acts as market maker in all classes of shares and ETFs. Other market specialists quote bonds (ICF AG) and funds (MWB/Fairtrade AG). Today primarily online banks from Germany, France and Austria are connected.

Tradegate Exchange has received the status of 'regulated market within the meaning of MiFID' since January 2010.

8.00 a.m. – Start of trading
10.00 p.m. – Close of trading

Ownership structure

Deutsche Börse acquired 75-percent holding plus one share in Tradegate Exchange GmbH which is in charge of Tradegate Exchange. The remaining holdings in Tradegate Exchange GmbH are held by Tradegate AG. Deutsche Börse also acquired a 5-percent share in Tradegate AG Wertpapierhandelsbank, one of Tradegate’s market makers. Two managing directors were appointed for Tradegate Exchange GmbH: Thorsten Commichau and Jochen Thiel.
