This summer, a whole range of innovative products and services open up new opportunities for more precise trading decisions and strategies. The new Xetra Release 10.0, for example, allows for faster data transmission and a deeper insight into the market – in particular, algotraders benefit from it. Moreover, Deutsche Börse has launched a data feed transmitting economic news from the US that can immediately be processed in algorithmic trading.

Deutsche Börse Extends Transaction Cost Advantages for Xetra Trading
A new pricing model for Xetra trading will apply starting 2 November. The main idea is to phase out the Automated Trading Program (ATP) discount model, which has been applicable since 2004. The new pricing model yields participants in Xetra trading an average of 13 percent lower transaction fees on the basis of this year’s volumes.
An Investor Day for financial analysts and institutional investors was hosted by the management team of Deutsche Börse in Frankfurt on 25 June. A video recording of the event and the presentation are now available.
The Exchange Council Strengthens Frankfurt Stock Exchange’s Competitive Position in Europe
The Management Board has been instructed to continuing to optimize floor trading and to continue the consistent expansion and internationalization of electronic trading with the Xetra® system on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Expanded Real-time Services on Deutsche Börse’s Investor Portal
The investor portal www.boerse-frankfurt.de now offers real-time insight into the order book of the fully electronic trading system Xetra. Private investors, investment advisors and portfolio managers can now obtain the prices of all shares traded on the Deutsche Börse platforms, in real time.
Eurex and Wiener Börse to Cooperate in Derivatives Market
Wiener Börse will operate its derivatives market on the Eurex system with effect from March 2010. Wiener Börse has used the Xetra electronic trading system for its equities market since 1999.

Eurex Expands Product Range to Include Agricultural Derivatives
The international derivatives exchange Eurex is expanding its product range to include the agricultural products asset class. Trading starts in July with four new futures based on the agricultural products hogs, piglets and potato crops.
In June €87.9 billion were turned over on Xetra and on the floor of Börse Frankfurt. On all stock exchanges in Germany €101.6 billion were traded. Eurex and ISE traded 10.7 million contracts on average each trading day.

Clearstream Opens Account with Korean Securities Depository
The account provides settlement and custody services for foreign investors intending to hold Korean government debt instruments. Clearstream is the only ICSD to offer market access to its customers in the Korean market.
