In the world of trading, if you want to beat the competition, you have to be quick. That has always been the case. The network latency of below five milliseconds will definitely set new standards in the industry.
Since July, the Deutsche Börse XTF platform has featured a total of 20 new exchange-traded funds for you to choose from. You will be able to get an overall idea of our entire ETF range of 481 products on 10 September at the second Deutsche Börse ETF-Forum in Frankfurt. Participants will include investment advisers, portfolio managers, institutional investors and representatives of all the ETF issuers.

Gregor Pottmeyer Becomes New Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Börse AG
The supervisory board of Deutsche Börse AG has appointed Gregor Pottmeyer to the executive board for a period of three years. Effective 1 October Pottmeyer (46) will be responsible for the finance department.
First credit default swap transaction was cleared on 30 July. Eurex Credit Clear is considered a major step to improve market safety and integrity for OTC derivatives.
"Continuous Auction with Specialist: New Xetra Trading Model" is the topic of our workshop on 1 September. The workshop is addressed to small and medium-sized companies, which do not yet take part in continuous trading.
On 12 October 2009, equity trading in trading model Continuous Auction with Specialist shall be enabled for the first time on Xetra, as part of Xetra Release 10.1. By introducing the new trading model Deutsche Börse increases Xetra’s attractiveness as international listing and trading platform, particularly for small and mid-cap companies.
The db x-trackers S&P U.S. Carbon Efficient ETF of Deutschen Bank tracks the S&P U.S. Carbon Efficient Index nearly one to one. The index reflects the performance of a maximum of 375 companies with relatively high CO2 efficiency.
The new db x-trackers ETF tracks the performance of the Deutsche Bank Commodity Booster DJ-UBSCI Index which represent the five commodity groups energy, precious metals, base metals, agrarian commodities and live cattle.
In July €90.4 billion were turned over on Xetra and on the floor of Börse Frankfurt. On all stock exchanges in Germany €104 billion were traded. Eurex and ISE traded 9.5 million contracts on average each trading day.
Eurex Opens New Representative Office in Singapore
This is a further important step to strengthen and expand Eurex’s relationships to existing and potential business partners in Singapore and the region. The Eurex office in Singapore – as a part of Deutsche Börse Group’s international offices – complements the recently opened representative offices of Eurex in Hong Kong (opened in February 2009) and Tokyo (opened in April 2009).
With its new "Scoach Put/Call Sentiment", the certificate exchange Scoach offers a barometer for gauging the latest sentiment on the certificate market. Investors can use the information offer as a basis for their trading decisions.
On the 2nd ETF Forum taking place on 10 September Deutsche Börse will bring together asset managers, portfolio managers and private investors as well as representatives of all 13 ETF issuers. In workshops and panel discussions they will provide for prospects on the commercial vehicle of the future and exchange views on investment strategies.
In July 2009, the value of assets under custody held on behalf of customers registered an increase for the fifth consecutive month and stood at €10.4 trillion. The assets under custody are still 4 percent lower than in July 2008.

Deutsche Börse Systems launches a new ultra-low latency connection which will connect the financial centres London and Frankfurt. This will reduce the network latency to below 5 milliseconds.
