Actively Managed Funds Issuing of funds at the stock exchange – nothing could be simpler |
The funds traded at Börse Frankfurt are covered by specialists, currently the two trading firms N. M. Fleischhacker and DBM Deutsche Börsenmakler (Baader Group). They continuously determine market-oriented, fair prices and ensure liquidity up to a maximum quotation volume. The prerequisites for a fund to be included in a specialist’s portfolio are simple: Its issuer must either provide evidence that the fund is listed in a different domestic or international regulated market or apply for admission in Germany at BaFin, the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, and publish the prospectus. The issuer proves that its fund is eligible by placing a global certificate with a custody provider. If these prerequisites are met, the specialist submits an application for admission to trading at Deutsche Börse. The fund issuer bears no further costs for admission to trading, as the specialists charge no commission for this service. By committing to minimal trading margins and avoiding uneconomic partial execution, the specialists ensure that the fund is tradable. They take into account the current order book situation and the issuers’ redemption value in order to calculate the price indications and continuously calculate the current value of the funds they support. |
