DAXglobal Sarasin Sustainability Index

Companies with a sustainable business strategy assure their market position for the future. Synchronously they take into account the future implications of recent business decisions. This includes the analysis of ecological implications but also good working conditions for the employees and good relations to suppliers and clients. Many academic studies have already confirmed a positive relationship in the sustainability triangle of economy, ecology and social environment and entrepreneurial success.

Apart from the financial analysis, environment as well as social analysis of enterprises forms the core basis for decision-making in sustainable investments. Bank Sarasin as the market leader in sustainability research has developed a two-dimensional rating model, the Sarasin Sustainability Matrix®. This rating model is based on two core components:

Sector-Rating: Comparative evaluation of sectors based on selected environment and social criteria.
Company-Rating: Comparative social and environment evaluation of companies within a sector.

The DAXglobal® Sarasin Sustainability Indices replicate companies, which accomplish the criteria of sustainability according to the Sarasin Sustainability Matrix®.
