The Issuer Market Data & Analytics section is responsible for the development, calculation, distribution and marketing of Deutsche Börse AG’s index products. Strategic index development is based on clear and concise index rules, transparency, and tradability. As a result, all Deutsche Börse indices meet the requirements of an underlying for derivative financial instruments.

In the past, index development focused on the calculation of various different benchmark indices for the German equity and bond markets. Since 2005, Deutsche Börse has been forging ahead with the development of strategy indices under the DAXplus® trademark. These index products reflect a wide range of successful investment strategies in a rule-based, transparent and liquid index.

Deutsche Börse AG issues licenses for its index products for commercial use of the index concepts and trademarks. Its indices are licensed with financial institutions worldwide as a basis for investment products.
