Our concept of Corporate Affairs embraces all activities that support selected economic policy initiatives and the appropriate positioning of Deutsche Börse Group in the national and international financial communities. As a central provider of services to the securities industry with a portfolio of products and services for issuers, investors, intermediaries and data vendors, the Group covers the entire process chain from trading via clearing through to settlement and securities custody. This preeminent position in the capital market makes it imperative that the Group sets an exemplary standard as regards fostering and advancing the financial hub where it is based. Focus The projects in this field essentially involve networking, lobbying and recruitment and provide excellent platforms for addressing opinion makers and those with a multiplier function both in the financial hub Frankfurt but also at a European and international level. Deutsche Börse AG is an active member of Initiative Finanzstandort Deutschland (IFD), which is organized by leading participants in the German capital market. We also feel that involvement in the Finanzplatz Frankfurt Commission and our support of Wirtschaftsinitiative Rhein-Main (Economic Initiative of the Rhine-Main Area) are essential to bringing regional interests into the political realm. Moreover, promoting an innovative shareholding culture is of great importance and is achieved by sponsoring and membership of selected institutions such as Deutsches Aktieninstitut (DAI), the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) and the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE).
