Corporate Citizenship – Culture

Our commitment to the arts involves the promotion of various institutions and projects that deal with or present the visual arts and music. We support exhibition projects showcasing the work of contemporary photographers and support the careers of young photographic artists at the beginning of their career. This commitment to the field of contemporary photography is important to us at another level: it supplements our own photo art collection Art Collection Deutsche Börse.

We also support concerts featuring young musicians dedicated to classical or jazz music as part of our commitment to music.

Focus

Our commitment to the arts focuses on promoting contemporary photography. The second focus of our cultural patronage concentrates on supporting contemporary and classical music by young artists.

Projects

Deutsche Börse Photography Prize
Since 2005 we award the annual international Deutsche Börse Photography Prize in conjunction with the Photographers’ Gallery in London. With prize money of 30,000 British pounds it honors the most important contribution to contemporary photography in the previous year in Europe.

C/O Talents
As founding partner of the C/O Talents exhibition series organized by C/O Berlin we offer young photographers and art critics an opportunity to present their work to a broad public in a show at C/O Berlin in the Altes Postfuhramt in Berlin and in a joint publication.

Deutsche Börse Residency Program
Launched in cooperation with Frankfurter Kunstverein the Deutsche Börse Residency Program enables young artists, curators and critics from all over the world to live and work for up to six months at Frankfurter Kunstverein in the heart of Frankfurt.

Deutsche Börse Jazz Nights
In sponsoring Deutsche Börse Jazz Nights we continue a tradition of the city of Frankfurt, the home of our corporate headquarters, as a center of German and international jazz. Moreover, dynamism and innovative skills, integral to jazz, are also core values in our corporate culture.

Private Art Kirchberg
In 2006, Clearstream, a Deutsche Börse Group company, initiated "Private Art Kirchberg". Nine other companies with offices in the Kirchberg-Plateau district of Luxembourg supported the initiative. On one weekend each year, the general public can view these companies art collections and discover "treasures" not normally accessible.

In our Corporate Responsibility Report you will find additional information on other projects in the field of culture.
