| Investor Relations: The Company |
Deutsche Börse AG affords its customers access to the international capital markets. This strategic focus puts the company in competition with marketplace operators in London, Paris, Chicago and New York. Deutsche Börse has a broader basis than any of its competitors. Its product and services portfolio covers the entire process chain: from securities and derivatives trading through the settlement of transactions and provision of market information right up to the development and operation of electronic trading systems. With its process-oriented business model, Deutsche Börse increases the efficiency of capital markets. At the same time, innovation and international growth are important factors of our success. Based on this success, Deutsche Börse decided in February 2001 to take an important step: its own IPO. As a listed company, it competes for investors on the capital market. At the same time, Deutsche Börse’s membership in the DAX® – since December 2002 – has increased its visibility on the international capital markets, thus strengthening its competitive position. Since October 2007, Deutsche Börse AG has been included in Europe’s leading benchmark index, the Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50. The index contains the 50 largest listed public limited companies in the euro zone. |
