Deutsche Börse calculates four German Indices of global standing: the DAX®, MDAX®, TecDAX® and SDAX®. Regarding the level below the DAX®, a differentiation is made between traditional and technology sectors. The MDAX® and SDAX® are calculated for the traditional sectors, while the TecDAX® is calculated for the technology sectors.

As well as admission to the Prime Standard, another prerequisite for acceptance into a German Index is an ongoing listing in Xetra® trading.
