As a diversified exchange organisation, Deutsche Börse Group’s products and services cover the entire value chain in the financial sector – its business areas range from the admission of securities to listing, through trading, clearing and Settlement, down to Custody of securities and other financial instruments as well as collateral management. Additionally, Deutsche Börse provides IT services, indices and market data worldwide. It also fosters innovation by offering various services for growth companies and investors.

Listing and Trading

With the fully electronic Xetra® trading platform and Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse (FWB®, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange), Deutsche Börse operates one of the cash markets with the highest trading volumes in the world. It also offers trading in structured products (certificates and warrants) in Germany via Börse Frankfurt Zertifikate AG. With about 1.3 million tradeable securities, it has the broadest product offering of all cash markets in Europe.

Eurex Exchange is one of the market leaders in trading derivatives such as futures and options contracts.

Via European Energy Exchange AG (EEX), a further subsidiary of Eurex, Deutsche Börse Group offers trading in power and gas products, agricultural products as well as in CO2 certificates.


With Eurex Clearing, Deutsche Börse Group has Europe’s largest central counterparty at its disposal. The clearing house handles risk management for derivatives and cash market transactions – both on- and off-exchange.

Post trading

Clearstream provides post-trade banking, settlement and custody services for fixed-income securities, shares and investment funds for customers in more than 110 countries worldwide. With innovative collateral and liquidity management services, Clearstream supports the financial services industry in using equity in the most efficient manner.

Market data and services

The business area IT & Market Data Services supplies markets with information products and technology services. The information products include, for example, prices, macroeconomic indicators and data for the DAX® and STOXX® index families. Technology services comprise network services as well as an excellent infrastructure for exchange trading and subsequent processes. More than 30 exchanges and trading platforms around the world are operated with the Group’s technology and many international financial services providers use its technology services. New technologies play a central role for the success of Deutsche Börse Group.


Deutsche Börse Venture Network® offers investors access to attractive growth companies and companies ready for the listing on an exchange from various sectors. Growth companies can conduct rounds of financing and find follow-on financing here.

Deutsche Börse Venture Match is a service which introduces investors to investment opportunities in growth companies in its network – tailored to their respective investment profile.

Deutsche Börse’s FinTech Hub is an initiative to support the fintech community in Frankfurt and in the Rhine/Main region. The Hub not just offers co-working spaces, but also individual consulting as well as networking services.

DB1 Ventures is the corporate venture capital (CVC) platform of Deutsche Börse, with the mission to fund investments in ventures strategic to the organisation across a broad spectrum of fintech firms. DB1 Ventures provides not only capital, but also expertise, guidance, and connectivity to its portfolio companies.
