Cash Market

Deutsche Börse Group has concentrated all its cash market activities in Deutsche Börse Cash Market. It organises one of the leading cash markets in Europe and offers companies, brokers and investors access to the German and international capital markets.

The product and services portfolio covers the admission of securities (listing) to the Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse (FWB®, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange) as well as trading and clearing – according to recognised rules and in customised market segments. With Xetra and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, we operate two of the world’s most renowned trading platforms where prices are determined on the exchange and, thanks to the central counterparty (CCP), with minimum default risk for stock and bond transactions. Furthermore, Eurex Bonds®, the platform for interbank bond trading belongs to the cash market. Moreover, Deutsche Börse holds the majority of the shares in Tradegate Exchange, geared to the requirements of private investors.

Deutsche Börse Cash Market champions regulated and transparent markets that enable efficient, safe and fair securities trading. The cash market provides solutions for efficiently raising and allocating capital, in this way laying important foundations for the real economy. Through this commitment, the cash market makes a valuable contribution to ensuring the exchanges fulfil their macroeconomic role.

Xetra is the reference market for exchange trading in German shares and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). More than 90 per cent of all trading in shares at all German exchanges and more than 30 per cent of trading in ETFs in Europe is transacted through Xetra.

The price fixing on Xetra is conducted according to clearly defined and transparent rules. Trading participants who decide to trade through Xetra profit from highest liquidity and the fair prices of a major market place.

Börse Frankfurt

At Börse Frankfurt (Frankfurt Stock Exchange), private investors can buy and sell about 1.6 million securities of German and international issuers – more than at any other trading place in the world. These include shares of companies from more than 130 countries, ETFs, exchange-traded commodities (ETCs) and exchange-traded notes (ETNs), investment funds, fixed-income securities like bonds, mortgage bonds and debentures as well as certificates and warrants, the so-called structured products. Specialists on the trading floor attend to the trading of the securities. They ensure the immediate execution of orders and guarantee the best possible price.
