J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge 2018 Running for a good cause

The starting gun for the Deutsche Börse athletes was fired promptly at 7 p.m. when more than 63,000 other competitors were standing on the line at Hochstraße and Börsenstraße. Despite high temperatures, thousands of spectators lined the route, cheering the runners on. Group staff were unmistakably identified by their blue T-shirts bearing the slogan: “One Group. One Team”.

With the motto “The friendly competition” values as team spirit, communication, cooperation, fairness and health stood at the centre of the event. After the race, things continued “friendly” at our special party point in front of Alte Börse. As in previous years, refreshments were provided by Aramark, who not only donated the fruit bar, but also barbecue sausages.

According to the organiser, the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge race is the largest corporate race in the world and the biggest running event in Europe. Through the entry fee every competitor ensures four euros is donated to promoting sports projects for young disabled persons.

By covering the entry fees for all the staff members in the team, Deutsche Börse contributed to the organiser being able to donate no less than a total of around €255,500 to projects run by Deutsche Sporthilfe (German Sports Aid) and Deutsche Behindertensportjugend (German Disabled Sports Youth Association).
