  • Students must be enrolled in an academic programme during their internship, preferably in finance/economics.
  • Strong analytical skills, creativity and ability to break down complex topics into smaller operational steps and presentation skills to effectively communicate them to the Team or Management.
  • Reliability, ability to work under pressure as well as independently.
  • Ability and willingness to quickly get up to speed in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in an international, multi-lingual environment as well as team spirit.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications is a must. Advanced skills in Excel, Access as well as Power Point are considered advantage.
  • Knowledge of trading market models/systems of the cash markets is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in project management is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in written & spoken English as well as German languages.
  • Ability to self-motivate oneself for continuous learning and growth.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Support for the team in performing daily work that ensures, to possible extent, error-free and smooth functional operation of several markets within the framework of different topics: Instruments, Corporate Actions, System interfaces & Tools as well as emergency handling.
  • Help in monitoring trading activities in the cash market systems.
  • Contribution to functional support of market participants (especially traders & system developers) in all functional questions with regards to market models, products and other trading related topics.
  • Active participation in diverse projects.

Market Operations is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of our services to customers by running our day-to-day business. Market Supervision Cash Trading operates and supervises the cash markets of Deutsche Börse Group and cooperation exchanges. It ensures safe and orderly trading and runs the customer helpdesks for related trading services. As an intern at Cash Trading Xetra you will be actively helping the team that supports market participants in all functional related questions, performs quality assurance of trading related data, contributes to system and market model changes as well as handles exceptional situations.
