Your qualifications

  • Proficiency in written and spoken German and English
  • Strong knowledge of Java, C/C++
  • Practical experience in GPU programming (CUDA or OpenCL)
  • Knowledge in Linux
  • Strong analytical skills

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Parallel programming on Graphical Processing Units (GPU)
  • Re-implementation or migration of an existing Java library to a GPU architecture
  • Support in analysis of potential for further parallelization of the used algorithm
  • Evaluation of performance gains achieved by using GPUs

As an intern - Energy IT you will have the excellent opportunity to explore commodity market dynamics and to gain valuable practical experience in an innovative company. The Energy IT group within the Market and Services IT department develops and supports services for the energy and commodity market in Europe. One of our key projects is currently investigating the use of GPUs in order to further increase throughput. Your key task will be the migration of the current implementation to a GPU based implementation. Further you will support the project team in transforming the algorithm for further parallelization. As a member of a highly innovative project team you will face an exciting challenge coping with state of the art technology as well as unique insights into the development of trading systems.
