Your qualifications

  • One to three years of work experience in system management/operations Linux including familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python)
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP) to aid troubleshooting connectivity issues
  • Knowledge about JBoss software would be an asset
  • Basic knowledge in OpenVMS operating system is an advantage
  • Excellent analytical skills along with incident management and problem solving skills
  • Strong proficiency in written and oral English
  • Basic German language skills would be an asset
  • User knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Successful completion of training in DBS proprietary tools supporting monitoring and maintenance of the Deutsche Börse trading and clearing systems including training at the headquarter in Germany
  • Operation and monitoring of Deutsche Börse Group's trading (T7 for cash and derivatives markets, Xetra for cash markets) and clearing (Eurex, C7, CCP and Eurex OTC based on Calypso software) systems and escalation of service interruptions
  • Technical supervision of day end processing and production data backup
  • Perform trouble shooting and Incident-/Problem management tasks
  • Handle trouble tickets using the ticket management system of Deutsche Börse
  • Continuously provide status updates of incidents to the second level technical support for Deutsche Börse participants
  • Timely escalation of incidents when needed
  • Participate in a shift rotation and occasional weekend work to implement hardware and configuration changes on critical production devices

As a member of the team in Chicago, you will primarily operate and monitor Deutsche Börse Group’s trading and clearing systems (e.g. Eurex, Xetra and CCP). As an integral part of daily operations, you will work closely with our multinational teams.
