There are two Deutsche Börse Group companies in Prague, both of them located in Prague’s Karlin 8 district: Deutsche Börse AG and Clearstream Services S.A. With currently more than 1,400 employees at both companies, Prague is the Group’s second-largest location after Frankfurt.

Deutsche Börse AG

The specialised development teams based in Prague frequently collaborate cross-border with employees from the Group’s various other locations.

The projects thus benefit from the strong network that has been established between the Group’s locations in Prague, Frankfurt and Luxembourg.

Clearstream Services S.A.

Clearstream Services S.A. mainly focuses on back office operations for the clearing, settlement, custody and index areas (within a business scope of Eurex, Clearstream and STOXX). In addition, employees provide corporate services for Deutsche Börse Group in the areas of compliance, financial accounting, HR and travel management.

Clearstream Fund Centre S.A. is Clearstream’s largest operational centre for investment funds and provides hedge and mutual fund custodian services for over 50 major financial institutions with positions in over 25,000 hedge funds. The hedge funds business in Cork alongside the existing mutual fund services at Clearstream in Luxembourg provides and clients with the perfect “one-stop shop” solution for all fund types.

The Cork office also provides client support in the day-to-day use of Clearstream Banking’s core products and services as well as IT maintenance for Deutsche Börse Group’s corporate IT systems.

EEX is part of EEX Group, which serves the international commodity markets. Within the group, EEX offers contracts on power, natural gas and emission allowances as well as freight and agricultural products. EEX also provides registry services for White Certificates, Capacity Certificates and Guarantees of Origin on behalf of the French State, as well as Auctions for Guarantees of Origin.

EEX Group consists of the trading venues European Energy Exchange (EEX), EPEX SPOT, EEX Asia, Power Exchange Central Europe (PXE) and Nodal Exchange as well as the registry provider Grexel Systems and the clearing houses European Commodity Clearing (ECC) and Nodal Clear.
