Horizon 2026 – our strategy

Release date: 20 Mar 2025

At our Investor Day 2023, we presented our Horizon 2026 strategy. We are well on-track to achieve our targets.

The core elements are:

  • a continued strong organic growth of 8 per cent annually without treasury result from 2024-2026
  • the new Investment Management Solutions (IMS) segment with SimCorp and ISS STOXX as a strategic cornerstone with high growth potential and recurring revenues
  • the expansion of the leading position in the area of digital platforms for existing and new asset classes
  • a refined capital management with fast deleveraging, new dividend policy and more active use of share buy-backs

Horizon 2026 in a nutshell

Strong organic growth

With continuous trust in our business model and a priorisation of sustainable capital allocation, we continue our focus on strong organic net revenue growth.

Based on structural industry trends, the ever growing importance of the buy-side, evolving customer needs and a normalising interest rate environment, organic growth will continue to be the cornerstone of our strategy in the future.

Investment Management Solutions

In re-shaping the former Data & Analytics segment, Deutsche Börse has strengthened its focus on data and analytics-powered investment management solutions.

The new Investment Management Solutions (IMS) segment combines the existing subsidiaries Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and STOXX as well as Axioma with the newly added software and SaaS business of SimCorp.

We thereby offer institutional investors products and services along their entire value chain.

Digital leadership

The long-term growth potential from new technologies is based on the digitalisation of asset classes and the corresponding trading and settlement platforms.

A focus is on the further expansion of our leading position in cloud adoption and the enhancement of our digital offering in Trading & Clearing (e.g. crypto) and Securities Services (e.g. digital securities in D7 and tokens).
