Carsten Schäfer has comprehensive and in-depth knowledge in the field of risk management, which he acquired over his long-standing career at Deutsche Börse Group. As Vice President in ICT Risk Management, he currently focuses on the challenges and opportunities in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Based on his academic background in physics and his knowledge and experience in medical research, his strength as a risk manager lies in the analysis of complex interdependencies and in modeling risk scenarios for business and operational risks. In addition, through his work as a project manager in the area of corporate strategy, he has gained in-depth knowledge of group-wide scenario planning and financial market data analysis. Mr. Schäfer is a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG and member in the Strategy and Sustainability Committee as well as in the Technology Committee.
