Anja Greenwood has in-depth knowledge of banking and capital markets law, which she acquired during her time as a research assistant at the Institute for Banking and Capital Markets Law at the University of Leipzig and while pursuing her doctorate. Subsequently, Ms. Greenwood worked for several years in the legal department of European Energy Exchange AG (EEX). There, she primarily handled legal matters related to the clearing operations of the subsidiary European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC). From this role, Ms. Greenwood brings extensive expertise in the areas of clearing, settlement of exchange transactions, and financial and energy regulation. Since 2022, Ms. Greenwood has headed the Customer Due Diligence & KYC division at European Commodity Clearing AG. Her primary areas of focus include regulatory and compliance-related matters as well as the digitization of KYC and due diligence processes. In addition, Ms. Greenwood has been a member of the works council of EEX/ECC since 2019 and is familiar with personnel and co-determination-related topics. She has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG since 2021 and member in its Nomination and Governance Committee and Audit and Risk Committee.
