Markus Beck has served as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG since December 2021, having been a full member of the board since August 2018. As Senior Legal Counsel in the Corporate & Regulatory Legal division of Deutsche Börse AG’s Legal Department, his work focuses on advising companies within the Deutsche Börse Group on all matters related to corporate law. A particular focus is on monitoring legal and regulatory developments regarding corporate governance requirements. Mr. Beck has extensive and in-depth expertise in stock corporation and group law, restructuring, joint ventures, and the capital markets obligations of a publicly traded company. Prior to joining Deutsche Börse, he worked as an attorney at the law firms Allen & Overy LLP and Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz, where he primarily advised publicly traded corporations. He began his legal career as a research assistant at Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz, where he earned his doctorate on a topic in corporate law. Mr. Beck successfully completed the “Qualified Supervisory Board Member” training program in 2019. He is a member of the Nomination and Governance Committee, the Audit and Risk Committee, the Committee of the Chair, and the Mediation Committee of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG.
