Cakes and cookies for a good cause

Release date: 11 Dec 2024

Honey pancake tart, cupcakes, cookies – the array of homemade delights was truly overwhelming at our Group-wide charity bake sales held last week in Eschborn, Cork, Luxembourg, London, and Prague. Many colleagues showcased not only their exceptional baking skills but also their dedication to charity. The proceeds from the sales will support organisations and projects that are especially meaningful to them.

On top of that, there was also the opportunity to purchase our DBeeG honey and DBeeGin in exchange for donations to the various charities.

With their efforts, they raised funds to support organisations and projects that are especially meaningful to them, complementing our corporate responsibility activities throughout the year. The donations collected will support humanitarian aid in crisis zones, victims of natural disasters, environmental protection, as well as health and prevention initiatives. Examples include aid for the flood disaster in Valencia, emergency assistance for children in Ukraine, and contributions to the Movember Fund.

In Prague, colleagues combined the bake sale with their traditional Poinsettia sale. By selling the plants, they supported the charity Šance Olomouc, which aids the hematology-oncology department of the children’s clinic at the University Hospital in Olomouc.

Colleagues in London collectively raised funds for the Movember Fund.

Here’s what our colleagues say:

Alisa Senina, Eschborn: “I am very pleased that we can support needy children in Ukraine with the donations from the Charity Bake Sale. The amount is high enough for two items, two baby boxes or two generators, or a baby box and a generator.”

Elodie Putz, Luxembourg: “Participating in our Charity Bake Sale, where we advocated for the protection of marine mammals, was a moving experience. The event not only allowed us to make a positive contribution but also brought us closer together as colleagues.”

Dominik Silasko, Eschborn: “With the proceeds from the bake sale, I support summer camps for needy children, especially refugee children. This is not a given.”

A huge thank you to our #OneGlobalTeam! Your efforts truly make an impact.
