The Member Section is our group-wide portal solution which is used by customers of almost all business segments of Deutsche Börse Group. Within the Member Section several self-services are offered to Deutsche Börse clients and Vendors. The Member Section provides a responsive user interface with access from any device. The client portal makes the interaction for customers easier through transparent processes. 

This website will provide information on:

  • How to complete your registration in order to obtain access to confidential information and member-specific web applications
  • An overview of the most important self-services within the Member Section
  • Who to contact in case of questions 
  • A list of frequently asked questions

FAQ

1. Why does the identity provider cannot process the response?

The identity provider cannot process the response due to wrong configuration.


Solution possibility:


  • Please open only one browser
  • Please go to url: https://membersection.deutsche-boerse.com/portal

If you receive a error message after you did enter your login credentials, refresh your browser and navigate back to the login page or enter again url: https://membersection.deutsche-boerse.com/portal


You will see again the login page. After clicking on “Login” you should be signed in directly without having to enter your login credentials again.


2. How do I get access to the Member Section?

To get access to the Member Section, please follow simple steps:


  • Access the Member Section via: https://membersection.deutsche-boerse.com/.
  • Click on “REGISTER”.
  • Enter your company e-mail address and click on “SEND VERIFICATION CODE”.
  • Enter the verification code that you received via e-mail in the respective field and click on “VERIFY CODE”.
  • Enter your first and last name in respective fields.
  • Create a password which fulfils the requirements listed on the screen. Re-enter your password and click on “CREATE”.
  • The confirmation page will appear, and you will be directed to the “Complete Account” screen, where you need to enter the following information to continue:
    • Member ID
    • Personal Data 
    • Additional Data
  • Once you have provided all data click on "SUBMIT".
  • Your request will be sent to the Central Coordinator. After the Central Coordinator approval , please follow the path to request permissions: My Profile > Permissions.

3. How can I setup the authentication via SMS?

To setup the authentication via SMS, please follow these steps: 


  • Access the Member Section via: https://membersection.deutsche-boerse.com/.
  • Click on the dropdown button on the upper right side and select “My Profile”.
  • Click on “Login Settings”.
  • Click on “Configure Options”.
  • Open your e-mail and look for verification e-mail with a code.
  • Copy the code and enter it into the field  “Verification Code”. Press the button “VERIFY CODE”.
  • Select "Authentication via SMS" method and click on "CONTINUE".
  • Select your country code and enter your phone number.
  • Click on "SEND CODE".
  • Please check if you have received the verification code on your mobile device. The SMS code will be sent by msverify.
  • Enter the SMS code in the respective field on the login screen and click on "VERIFY CODE".

4. How can I setup the authentication via Microsoft Authentication App?

To setup the authentication via Microsoft Authentication App, please follow these steps:


  • Access the Member Section via: https://membersection.deutsche-boerse.com/.
  • Click on the dropdown button on the upper right side and select “My Profile”.
  • Click on “Login Settings”.
  • Click on "Configure Options".
  • Open your e-mail and check for the verification e-mail which includes a code.
  • Copy the verification code, enter it into the field and click "VERIFY CODE".
  • Select "Authenticator App" method and click on "CONTINUE".
  • On the next screen, you will be presented with the iOS and Google Play Store icons. Please download the Microsoft Authenticator App on your mobile device.
  • Open the Microsoft Authenticator App and scan the QR code and click on "CONTINUE" on the screen.
  • Enter the verification code you received via the Microsoft Authenticator App in the field “Verification Code” on the screen and click on "VERIFY CODE".

5. How can I change my password?

To change your password, please follow these steps:


  • Access the Member Section via: https://membersection.deutsche-boerse.com/.
  • Click on the dropdown button on the upper right side and select “My Profile”.
  • Click on “Login Settings”.
  • Click on "Change Password".
  • Enter your old (current) password in the field “Old Password” on the newly opened page.
  • Enter your new password in the field “New Password”.
  • Confirm your new password by retyping it in the field “Confirm New Password” and click on "CONTINUE".

6. How can I reset my password?

To reset your password, please follow these steps:


  • Access the Member Section via: https://membersection.deutsche-boerse.com/.
  • Click on “Login”.
  • Click on “Forgot your password?”.
  • Enter your username and click on “Send Verification Code”.
  • Open your e-mail and check for the verification email which includes a code.
  • Copy the code and enter it in the field  “Verification Code” and click on “VERIFY CODE”.
  • Enter your new password in the field “New Password”.
  • Confirm your new password by retyping it in the field “Confirm New Password” and click on "CONTINUE".

8. Where can I request Permissions?  

After logging in to the Member Section, please follow the path: My Profile > Permissions.  


9. How do I add the Trader Application Permission to submit a Trader Application?

The Trader Application right can be requested under: My Profile > Permissions > Trading & Clearing Administration > Application for Trader, QBO, QCS.


10. Can I manage all my market invoices in one spot?

Yes, all the invoices are sorted by markets and are catalogued in the same list. Please note that only those user accounts that have the relevant permissions can see them. 


11. How can I be set up as a Company Contact? 

A user account for the Member Section is needed before setting up a company contact. After you have set up the new account, you can set yourself up as a company contact. For more details please refer to the Member Section User Guide "3.11 Company Contacts"


12. What is the process to change the Central Coordinator?

  • Please use the ‘Hand Over‘ function to change the Central Coordinator under the following path: My Profile > Account Information > Hand Over.  

13. Why am I not able to see the Clearstream Invoices?

Please make sure that relevant invoice permissions and invoice accounts are assigned by the respective Central Coordinator. 


14. How can a Deputy be added in the Member Section?

  • You can appoint a Deputy under the following path: Central Coordinator > Portal User Administration. After selecting the respective user (if not in the list please create user first) activate Assign as your deputy button under Deputy tile. 

15. While logging into the Member Section I´m getting request for Certificates, which one should I select?

Please close the pop-up window regarding certificate message or cancel and proceed with the login. 


16. Why am I not able to upload the Client Identification files?

Please make sure that relevant Client Identification uploading permission is requested and approved by the respective Central Coordinator.


17. Why am I not able to upload the ALFO HFT files?

Please make sure that relevant ALGO HFT uploading permission is requested and approved by the respective Central Coordinator.


18. Why am I not able to submit a Trader/QBO/QCS admission?

  • Please make sure that the relevant Admission permission is requested and approved by the respective Central Coordinator.
  • If you submitted your application before 1 February 2021, please contact the Person Admission team via person.admission@deutsche-boerse.com with your full name, your company name to request support.

19. Why does the error message "Access denied" appear when you try to switch the User Account?

User needs to login directly via username under upload should be processed.


 

Known Limitations (May 2023)

Issue

Solution

If you have set up the SMS 2-factor-authentication and want to log in via SMS, you might receive an error message saying “Wrong verification code”.

Please note, that the code is correct. If you receive this error message, please ignore it and wait for the window to close or for the redirect back to the Member Section.

Some users are receiving the error message “HTTP Status 500 - An internal application error occurred.”

In that case, please use a different browser (Edge recommended) or to delete caches and cookies.

This service contains all user administration topics. Members can create and edit their personal data and request permissions on services they need within the Member Section. They are included all the functionalities under the tab “My Profile”, “Change Organization”, and “Switch User Account”.

Central Coordinator (CC)

This section allows you to maintain company users. In particular, user self-registrations, deputy assignments, as well as user accounts that are registered under the company.

Technical Connection

Service


Members can monitor and manage their technical connections to the various trading systems by managing requests and configurations, and incident tickets. The maintenance of the Technical Users is also done within this section.

Trading & Clearing Administration

Service


Trading and Clearing Members can submit their applications, to participate in one of our markets, via this service. These are the admission types:


  • Exchange trader admissions
  • Qualified Back-Office Staff (QBO) 
  • Qualified Clearing Staff (QCS)

The required trainings and exams can also be booked here. The GUI user ID maintenance is also available via this service.


Company Administration

Service


Members can submit and change their Legal Entity Identifier as well as manage Disclosed Client Admission. Additionally, clients can upload their Client ID and ALGO HFT under this service. 


Invoices

Service


All the Eurex and Eurex Clearing invoices and Fee reports can be viewed and downloaded in this section. Access to invoice accounts can be granted via the permissions under “My Profile”.
