Eric Leupold Succeeds Robbert Booij as CEO of Eurex

Eurex Frankfurt AG announced today that Eric Leupold will succeed Robbert Booij as CEO of Eurex effective January 1, 2027. The leadership change follows Robbert Booij’s decision not to seek an extension of his Executive Board mandate.  

Robbert Booij’s tenure at Eurex was marked by record performance, substantial growth, and disciplined cost management. His leadership was pivotal in integrating Eurex Exchange and Eurex Clearing into a unified, client-centric organization. Eric Leupold currently serves as Managing Director Cash Market and Chief of Staff of the Trading & Clearing Division. He began his career at Deutsche Börse Group in 2009 and has held various senior leadership roles, including positions in DB1 Ventures, Cash Market, and Trading & Clearing Strategy.
