Deutsche Börse Group reaches milestone in Brexit preparations

Various exchanges of Deutsche Börse Group have been granted the Recognised Overseas Investment Exchange (ROIE) status by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This completes an important milestone in Deutsche Börse Group’s Brexit preparations. UK-based clients can therefore continue to participate in the trading of equities, derivatives and commodities, regardless the outcome of the negotiations between the UK and the EU.

On 21 February 2019, the following exchanges have received recognition as overseas investment exchanges from the FCA:

  • Börse Frankfurt Zertifikate AG
  • Deutsche Börse AG
  • Eurex Frankfurt AG
  • European Energy Exchange AG

"We have assured our clients from the outset that we will remain a reliable partner at their side in these times of change. The recognition as ROIE is an important step and a strong signal that we will continue to stand for stable European financial markets after the Brexit," said Alexandra Hachmeister, Chief Regulatory Officer of Deutsche Börse Group.
